Strikers Field Hockey has been nothing but a positive experience for me. It was the foundation for what has become a major part of my life. It taught me basic skills as well as made me understand the game. Strikers is like a second family. The girls that I played side by side with in the program have become some of my best friends. Being a teammate is something that everyone should experience and I couldn’t be more thankful to have had that experience as a Striker. Jen creates a safe and loving environment for everyone in her program. The relationship that I formed with Jen is unbreakable. She continues to help me with both field hockey and life overall. Having her as a role model is something that no other program could have given me. Jen’s program not only introduced me to the sport I fell in love with, but also some of the most important people in my life today. Nashoba High School Class of 2016
I've been a part of the Strikers family for a year now, and I've improved so much as a field hockey player, along with making so many new friendships. Jen is a great coach who is always enthusiastic and full of coaching tips to leave you with a whole new love for the game. After just one winter with Jen I improved a ton, enough to be on the starting lineup on a JV team as a freshman. The entire club is a big family, learning and growing together, and always laughing. Being apart of the Strikers family is such a privilege.A Fan from Sudbury, MA
My twin daughters were soccer players when Jen Brown introduced Field Hockey to our small town. We signed up when my girls were in the 5th grade but continued with soccer as we were not sure what sport they wanted to play in high school. Our town was a soccer town and my daughter's best friends were soccer players so it was difficult to change gears after years of playing soccer. It was the best decision I have made for my daughters. They have grown to LOVE the game and have learned much more than the game of Field Hockey. They have learned about being a team players and team leaders. They have learned about disappointment and how to deal with that. They have learned that it is not always about winning but being the best that you can be. They have played with others who are more talented then they are but have recognized that talent is not everything. Team chemistry and the love of the game matters as well. I have to let you know that Jen Brown is the reason for all of that learning. She takes the time to make sure that EVERY athlete is encouraged and developed to be the best that they can be. I have been at year end ceremonies where the awards for the most improved player and the best effort are the most coveted awards. And many tears are shed as they will not be playing field hockey together until the next season!! So, I write this because Jen Brown remains devoted to my girls (who are now in 11th grade) and those that she has coached as they move on to high school. She is there for their triumphs and their tears. She is there when they need guidance and when they pursue at a higher level, she offers insight and common sense. Your daughter or son cannot go wrong when choosing to play for Jen Brown.A Fan from Stow, MA
If it weren't for the Striker's field hockey program, I truly do not know where I would be in my life. I have played plenty of other sports, but this one stood out to me, this one clicked. I started playing when I was 10, the summer going into 5th grade. I was very unsure about field hockey and how I would like it. My mom finally convinced me to try it. We went out, bought a stick, and I was on my way to camp! After the first day, I loved it. I kept coming back to the camp summer after summer, learning more and more. When Jen started the club team and had us practicing indoors and playing in leagues, it changed everything. As a competitive person, I loved getting back on the field and playing my favorite sport. Scoring made it all better too! One summer, Jen had a goalie coach come and teach us things, and asked if anyone wanted try. Being a soccer player, I thought it would be pretty cool to play goalie because you can use your feet. I put on the large amounts of padding and was thrown in net. I loved it! I have been playing goalie ever since. In my goalie career I have achieved a lot. From making the varsity field hockey team at Nashoba Regional High School, to being hand selected for the 2012 Junior Olympics and even now on my way into college. I have come back to camp every year to learn more and to coach. I love being able to share my love of field hockey with younger kids and teaching them the sport. The Strikers Field Hockey Program has taught me so much, and I wouldn't be where I am today with out it.A Fan from Stow, MA
Playing for the Strikers was life changing for me. Jen truly inspired my love for the game of field hockey. She is such a positive, helpful, and passionate coach. She is always searching for new opportunities for her players and always has their best interest in mind. Jen taught me the most important part of the game of field hockey: the fundamentals. With that knowledge, a player can do anything. But beyond the game, I learned what it means to be part of a team, and I made lasting friendships. Playing on the Stirkers was one of the best experiences of my life.A Fan from Stow, MA
